The Smart Cam data does not match the observed conditions

Occasionally, cams aren’t able to gather wave data due to visibility issues such as fog or glare, or other technical issues. This can result in periods without any wave data or none at all.

Surf height does not match what is represented in the Smart Rewinds graph?

If you are seeing a difference in the surf height presented in the Smart Rewind Graph, the first thing to check is your Account Settings for your Surf Height unit preferences.

The surf height listed in the charts will reflect whichever setting you have your surf height set to. Take a look at the following article for more information on the different surf height settings we offer: Surf Height Unit Preference

If your settings are correctly set, and you are still seeing a discrepancy, we would be keen to take a closer look. Please contact support@surfline.com with the following information so we can our team address any potential root causes:

Errors and delays

It takes time to process the camera data, so you may see a gap in the graph below the most recent video footage while it is processing.
