Seeing an error message on the forecast data?
There may be multiple reasons you may be seeing an error message on the forecast data; some of which you will need assistance from Customer Support to resolve.
An outage with the Surfline website may be causing this error message to show. Our team of engineers will always work to resolve these issues as promptly as possible.
If the issue is specific to your account, or device, you may be able to resolve the issue by doing the troubleshooting steps listed below:
Website:
- Refresh the page you are viewing (you can do this using the refresh button on your browser).
- If you are a Premium Subscriber, log out and then log back in again.
- Turn off any incognito or private browsing feature, extension, or add on.
- Disable or remove any ad-blocking software, browser extension, or browser add-on (such as Adblock).
- Then clear your browser's cache - find directions here.
- Restart your computer and log back into the website.
- Make sure your web browser is the most recent, updated version.
- Try a different browser (such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox).
iOS/Android App:
- First try logging out and then logging back in with the email associated with your Surfline account.
- Make sure you have a strong Wi-Fi or network connection.
- Make sure you are using the most updated version of the app.
- Make sure that you have the latest operating software update for your device.
- (Android only) Try clearing storage and cache:
Settings App > Apps > Surfline > Clear Storage & Clear Cache - If these steps do not help your issue, please try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. Sometimes updates cause corrupted files and a fresh install of the app is needed.
