Footage recorded on all of our cams is available to Premium members for access & download from the website or app.
How to use Rewind on the Website

Find the rewind clips on Surfline by heading to any spot page with a camera and selecting the date and time at the bottom left corner of the cam player.
Then find the clip you'd like to view or save by scrolling back on timeline:
Scroll through the timeline, or change playback speed if you aren't sure exactly when you caught the wave to scan through footage faster.
To download the clip - Once you've found the clip you'd like to save in the rewinds select Clip:
Click Select & Preview from the proceeding page:
Adjust the clip length by clicking and dragging the yellow bars on Clip Preview timeline:
Then click Save to download the clip to your device!
How to use Rewind in the iOS app
Viewing any camera in the iOS app, you can access the rewind clips by selecting the timestamp underneath the cam player:
Select the date at the top of the rewind page that appears, then scroll down to select the time you would like to view the rewinds for:
Scroll through the timeline beneath the cam player to find your clips, or tap the screen to change playback speed if you aren't sure exactly when you caught the wave to scan through footage faster.
Once you've found the clip you'd like to save, select the Clip button
Then click Select & Preview from the proceeding page:
Then trim the clip to the desired length clicking and dragging the yellow bars on the ends of the Clip Preview timeline:
Then click Share at the bottom of the screen to save the clip to your device!
How to use Rewind in the Android app
To use Rewind in the Android app, first head to any spot page with a camera and tap the cam player so that the Rewind button appears in the top right of the cam player. Click the Rewind button to access the recorded footage:
Footage is stored in ten-minute sections from the previous 5 days. Click the date just below the cam player, and scroll down the page to find the timestamp you wish to view.
I need footage older than 5 days
If you require archived footage be recovered in the case of a casualty, emergency event or similar, contact support@surfline.com with the exact cam you believe recorded the footage, and a specific timeline we can work from.
Recovering footage is an extensive process so we appreciate your effort to minimize the workload.
We will need a public health authority or similar to verify your request before we commence the recovery process.
