What is the price of a Surfline membership in the US?
Effective April 8th, 2025, Surfline Premium memberships in the US will have updated prices. Surfline Premium members will receive more information about price changes shortly before their membership renews at the new rate. Surfline recently raised the price of Premium in the US, why?
Like any company, we have costs - people, cameras, data etc. - this update will allow us to continue to invest in the quality of your membership.
Additionally, this increase aligns the cost of a Premium membership with inflation. Our last major price increase was in 2018, when our annual plan was $96. Adjusting for inflation, that would be $120 today. Since 2018, we've also added hundreds of new cams, live wind stations across the globe, new benefits like Premium Perks, and numerous other features.
While our current Premium plan is getting more expensive, we also have new, significantly cheaper options available.
We've launched a new lower-priced membership option in the US that costs $69.99 per year (+applicable taxes). It’s called “Premium with ads.” This subscription gives you access to all the same Premium features you know and love, supported by ads.
Additionally, our Premium+ plan now allows you to share your membership benefits with two friends, family members, or surf buddies. If you split the cost, this comes out to $49.99 (+ applicable taxes) per person, per year.
How do I change my membership?
If you are interested in switching memberships, please visit your Account Settings.
If you are billed through the iOS App Store or Google Play Store, you will need to cancel your existing subscription and wait for it to end before you can downgrade to a lower tier (we know this isn’t ideal - don’t worry, we will be making it easier to downgrade soon). You can upgrade to a higher tier at any time.
