Enforcing our Terms of Use
Historically it has been pretty easy to share Premium with loved ones, who may have also shared their password with their friends, who may have forgotten to log out of their neighbor's computer.
We're stoked to have more customers, but one user per account has always been in Surfline's terms of use. We built Surfline to tailor a personal experience, unarguably better when the account is set up with your local spots up top, custom forecast positions, surf alerts, record of Sessions and custom unit/theme preferences set to your liking.
We're enforcing our terms of use so we can continue to deliver a personalized experience and put an end to complaints caused by account sharing.
- Random logouts
- Password not working
- Logging back in to missing favorites
- Wrong unit settings
- Issues generating Sessions
Setting yourself up with Premium will help us add more value to the membership, add new features and double down on maintenance for the growing cam network - regular cleanings, hardware upgrades, and improved connection infrastructure.
When this might impact people

We'll then lock it until the password has been reset via the email address associated with the account.
