What do I need to become a cam host?

Do you own a business, rental, or home that overlooks a surf break? Interested in hosting a live-streaming camera? Or know someone who does? We'd be interested in speaking with you.

How can I apply

Write to support@surfline.com and ask for a human agent. They'll take you details such as:

  • Name
  • Contact number
  • Relation to the property (owner, resident, employee at the business)
  • Address or coordinates of the property
  • Any photos to help us see the view out front and where we'd be able to mount the cam

A human agent will take this information to our Acquisition team and present the correspondence for review. Our Aquisition team consider setting up a hosting agreement immediately, or further down the line.

When would Surfline install the cam?

To initiate the process, we need to sign a hosting agreement that outlines your benefits and our responsibilities.

Us moving to sign a hosting agreement depends on where we are regionally focussed, the kind of Premium traffic we see in the region, and especially outside of our core markets we might have to make other considerations which can add some complexity or delay.

Once a hosting agreement has been signed, we aim to install within the next 3 weeks.

Is there more information I can take a look at?

Please feel free to check out our dedicated Host portal to learn more about what is involved.
