We want Surfline users to feel confident in managing their privacy when using our Services. The changes to the Privacy Policy are aimed at helping you to understand what personal data we may collect about you, how your personal data is used and the choices and control you have over that information.
Key Updates to the Privacy Policy
- Information Collected. We have supplied more details about the types of information we collect and how it will be used. For example, we may collect your mailing address to ship gear that you have ordered through the Shop or demographic information about you and your interests through surveys to improve our services and make them more relevant.
- Information Sharing. We’ve provided more specifics about the types of partners we share information with and receive from them.
Surfline has partnered with more third-party service providers to bring new Service offerings like Travel and Shop to life. For example, information you provide when booking a surf trip on Travel may be shared with our booking partner, Bookinglayer, or the travel provider. When you order gear through the Shop, certain information may be shared with Exchange Collective (a third party e-commerce management provider) to fulfill the order. In addition to using Stripe for payment processing, Surfline uses Stripe Identity, which collects and processes verification documents submitted by users for certain Services.

- Cookie Policy. We have updated provisions regarding cookies, web beacons, local storage and similar technology.The Cookie Policy provides further clarity on the types of technologies that we may use, the purposes for which we use them and how you can opt-out of the use of certain technologies.
How can I stay up to date on what personal information Surfline may collect and how that information is used?
Our Privacy Policy can always be found here. We will let you know across our Services what information we collect and how we use and share your information. We might tell you in a policy update or before your use of a new feature or when you participate in certain services, such as a survey or promotion.
Do I need to take any action to accept the updated Privacy Policy? What if I don’t want to accept the new terms?
No specific action is needed. By continuing to use Surfline Services, you acknowledge and accept the updated Privacy Policy.
If you do not accept the new terms, you will not be able to use the Services and should exit the Surfline mobile application or website immediately.
