Can I access Surfline with Amazon Alexa?

Surfline is now available for Alexa-enabled devices. Premium Members with a video-enabled Alexa device can ask Alexa to show a live cam. All users need to do is ask about the surf conditions at your favorite spot.

To download the Surfline skill for Amazon Alexa, do the following:

  1. If your Alexa-enabled device is nearby, simply state "Alexa, open Surfline" to enable the Surfline skill within your device.
  2. If your Alexa-enabled device is not nearby, you'll need to download the Surfline skill from the Alexa Skill store.

To get started with the Surfline skill, simply ask your device "Alexa, what's the surf report at [your favorite spot]."

To get started streaming live cameras from Surfline via Alexa, you must link your Surfline Premium account with the Alexa companion app on your phone. More information can be found here. And if you want to sign up for Surfline Premium, you can do that here.
