Surfline's cams also record the footage and make it available to Premium members for access & download.
We store daytime cam footage for up to 5 days, which is all accessible from the website & app. After 5 days, the footage is gone!

1. How to use Rewind on the Surfline website
Look for a Rewind symbol (next to the fullscreen button) in the top right corner of any cam player. Click the Rewind symbol to be taken to the Rewind page for the spot.
Select the day using the picklist (below). Rewind only goes back 5 days, including today!
Select the 10-minute clip that includes the footage you're looking for. If you caught a special wave at 15:39, your wave would be at the 3-minute mark of a 15:36 video.
Use the cam player controls to find the wave in the 10-minute clip. Click the settings cog to change playback speed if you aren't sure exactly when you caught the wave. Set it to 2x (fast-forward) and find yourself in half the time!
Download the clip by right-clicking on the bar below the cam player and saving it to your device.
If you left-click the download bar, the file will open in a new tab. Clips are stored on a different website (camrewinds.cdn-surfline.com) so don't be concerned about any warning messages your internet browser might throw up!
2. How to use Rewind on the Surfline app
Tap the cam player so the buttons show, and hit the Rewind symbol from any cam in the app.
Select the day using the picklist. The AM button will bring you to straight to 9 am, or the PM button will bring you straight to 3 pm.
Select the 10-minute clip that includes the footage you're looking for. The timestamp shown is the very beginning of the clip. I.e. the 2:24 pm clip will show webcam footage recorded between 2:24 pm and 2:34 pm.
Use the cam player controls to change the cam angle, download the clip or cast the file to another device (AirPlay).
