How do I change the unit preferences?

Unit preferences are saved to your account. Log in to your account from any device for a personalized experience.

Preferences you can set:

• Wind speed unit
• Surf height measurement (FAQ: Surf Height - Traditional vs Face Height)
• Swell height unit
• Tide height unit
• Temperature unit
• The region for editorial coverage
• Date format (DD/MM/YYY or MM/DD/YYY/)

Changing unit preferences on the website

Hit the user icon in the top right corner, then Account.

Click on Settings at the top of the page. From there you can change your units and your preference will then appear when you view your surf report or forecast.

Changing unit preferences in our app

Open the Account tab (bottom right of screen) to set your unit preferences. Changes made in the app will reflect on the website as long as you're logged in to the same Surfline account.
